Ello there!

Welcome to the “About” page, where I’ll stumble around, bump into things, and dizzy myself with succinctly portraying thirty-two dramatically varied years of my existence. Thirty-two years that could each belong to a different person and tell stories across thousands of pages.

In every novel, challenging, and exhilarating moment in life, my voice tells me: “It’s ALL part of the adventure.”

Who is Restless Meg?

Restless Meg does not live “inside of the box” or in a stationary state; she explores perspectives beyond her own, she challenges her understanding of human existence, and she boundlessly devours all of the experiences, knowledge, and flavor that can be found or imagined in life.

There’s a certain kind of curiosity that doesn’t sit still. It wanders—across countries, across ideas, across the quiet, complicated terrain of the human mind. That’s the spirit behind Restless Meg. I’m someone who feels most alive exploring new places, asking better questions, and trying to understand what it means to be human—from both the outside world and the inner one.

My hunger for travel isn’t just about movement; it’s about perspective. I’m drawn to the details—the way a place feels at sunrise, the conversations with strangers that linger long after, the subtle shifts in how you see your own life after stepping into someone else’s. At the same time, I’m deeply fascinated by neuroscience and psychology: how we think, why we behave the way we do, and what shapes our perceptions, habits, and identities over time.

This blog is where those two worlds meet. You’ll find stories from the road alongside reflections on the mind—travel guides that go beyond logistics, and explorations of ideas that extend beyond theory. Some posts might take you through a winding street in a new city; others might take you through the patterns of thought that guide your decisions without you realizing it. Often, they’ll do both.

What to Expect

What you can expect here is honesty, curiosity, and depth. I don’t spend much time with surface-level experiences or easy answers. Instead, this space is about paying attention—whether that’s to the landscapes we move through or the inner narratives we carry. It’s for anyone who feels a pull to explore, to question, and to grow.

Restless Meg is ultimately about the journey in every sense: the miles traveled, the ideas explored, and the ongoing process of becoming. If you’ve ever felt the urge to understand the world more fully—and yourself along the way—you’re in the right place.
